Randy Price Announces Candidacy for Alabama Senate District 13
New leadership that will work to protect our conservative values and be our voice in Montgomery.
Today, Randy Price announced his candidacy for Alabama State Senate District 13 in a district-wide courthouse tour. Randy was joined by his wife, friends and supporters at the Cleburne, Clay, Randolph, Chambers, and Lee county courthouses. Senator Gerald Dial, the current State Senator, is not seeking re-election. The Republican Primary will be held on June 5, 2018.
“I decided to run for State Senate because I believe it’s time to end the politics-as-usual mentality in Montgomery. Our state has been through a lot this year and I want to bring a family values, morals, and business mindset to Montgomery. It’s time for integrity and a hard work ethic that people can trust. Hard working families deserve to have someone that will fight for them; cutting the wasteful spending, fighting against new taxes, improving roads and infrastructure, and making sure our children receive the best education possible. Now more than ever it’s time we had someone to make sure our district receives its fair share. I look forward to the days ahead on the campaign trail getting our message out on why I am the best person for the job,” said Price.
Randy has been a small business owner for over 30 years, founding his own custom homebuilding business and commercial trucking company. Randy has been married more than 39 years to the former Oline Walton, Lee County Revenue Commissioner. Randy and Oline are the fourth generation to live on the family farm in Opelika where they raise cattle and goats. They are members of the First United Methodist Church of Opelika.
Randy serves on the Lee County Farmers Federation Board of Directors and on U.S. Congressman Mike Rogers' (AL-3) Agricultural Advisory Committee. He is the former Chairman of the Lee County Republican Club and members of Lee County Cattlemen’s Association and Opelika Chamber of Commerce. They have two sons, Cameron, 33, a graduate of Oklahoma State University and Hunter, 31, a graduate of Auburn University. Hunter is married to the former Lisa Collins of Opelika and they have a daughter, Brooklyn.
